Default Exhaust Advice

Can someone give me some advice for an economical exhaust set up that would give my 2006 F150 a good throaty sound that's not too loud. Thanks

I have 2.25" true duals with an X pipe and magnaflow 10445 magna packs. It is very deep but the sound level is up there. Pretty loud.

I have borla SISO exhaust. I like it, not loud by any means but has a nice deeper tone for sure. These are nice trucks, I don't understand trying to make them rival the noise level of the neighbors rusted out '80s Chevy. I am sure there is a way to do true duals and have a tasteful, nice sounding exhaust but it would be expensive to do it well.

If your are looking for "economical" as in not spending much money, just cut the current muffler off and wend in any one of the SISO and then chop your current tip back and have them put on any tip of your choice.

I am chopping my flowmaster catback dual system off on monday and putting on a single stock style with a borla muffer and nicer tip and have it exit OEM style.

jw whats the logic on this one? i thought (we know how the internet is so true ) that the Flowmaster Single in Dual out 2.25 was better then stock...

shouldnt two exits be better then one? just curious is all..

I have a single 40 series flow master muffler on my truck that leads to dual 3.5 inch tips, it's not too loud but it has a sweet tone!

What is your budget?

I just put a Magnaflow DI/DO on mine with tips for around $380. Not too loud, deep throaty sound when you get into the throttle.

I have basically the same setup but I have an xlerator muffler.. basically a knock off magnaflow. but still has a great tone, deep tone. sounds great while accelerating but virtually completely quite while cruising down the interstate.
