Flowmaster Super 10 Series mufflers are a single chamber design.

The internals are the same for all Flowmaster Super 10 Series mufflers. The only difference on a dual in/dual/out muffler is the inlet/outlet configuration.

If you have the 4.6.. I promise you for $30 bucks worth of piping and clamps.. it sounds amazing... just trust me on it. Nice rumble at idle.. not loud when cruising at a set speed.. WOT it screams.. and acceleration is moderate noise. Little cab drone while accelerating.

Also hear the round 10 inch Magnapacks are awesome as well. I'm sure you will be happy with whatever your choice is. Good luck buddy.

I hear what your saying.. that really blows about the inspections.. The Flowmaster super 10 in my honest opinion sounded best.. or a Super 40 I think is the next best but some people say after they install it, its too quite.. I had a Super 44 on my 04 Jeep Liberty V6 and it sounded great.. Im sure with a V8 it would be awesome. Youtube has plenty of videos on different mufflers/exhaust setups. I went with the cheapest route possible.. because I was going to get the Super 10.. figured I would say 80 bucks and just put a pipe there instead.

I did a maggie high flow cats-->maggie y pipe-->3" intermediate pipe-->sido maggie muffler. It sounds great especially after break in. Not too loud but definately a rumble and when you get on it you know it.
