Default Exaust opinions

Live in Mississippi ya know I like my truck with a nice aggressive and loud tone and I'm thinking about either true dual straights with cats, 2 1/4 pipe and 5" tips turned down behind the back tire or true dual x pipe with high flow cats and the same size pipe and tip set up fill me in on some stuff and give me a sound clip or something if you can

I put a hearthtrob exhaust on my truck. It was cheap and a little throatier.

I put a 2 1/2 cherry bomb bottle, which goes into a 3inch pipe to behind the tire and a 4 inch tip. Sounds way better than I expected.

I've got straight pipe with cats on and I like the sound of mine. I plan on doing my exhaust completely once I get my long tube headers. 04 f150 straight piped:
there's my truck it's a morning start up, but it should give you an idea. I also live in Ms

i put a flowmaster super 10 series on my 5.4 and i love it. its loud and sounds deep and throaty. sounds like its straight piped minus all the braspy crackling.. also its a single in and dual out. after a while of the duals going out the back of the truck i took them off and put turn downs right on the super 10 muffler

If you go with a dual system you definitely want to X them together behind the cats. You get better scavenging and midrange torque. It will also take a little edge off the exhaust tone.

I made it a tad louder since it had less pipe to travel through. I'll try to make a video of it today and post it
