Ethanol free heaven!!! Fort polk la
Well i know im going to get alot of Flack for this but everyone can Bite Me !!!! I found a gas station today that is less than a mile from my house that is going to start supplying ethanol free gas all the time!!! I have ran it before and no matter what anyone claims is right or wrong i have always averaged 3-4 more MPG and a noticeable difference in POWER.... Gas with 10% ethanol for sale at the local shopette(Military Installation) is $3.47 as of today, right outside the gate almost within throwing distance is Station that is selling regular all the way to 93 pump gas that is all ethanol free for only 3.49!!!! sorry i had to get it off my chest how great it felt! so whats everyone elses experience with ethanol free gas?

A drug store that supplies gas just opened up not even a mile from my house and I was low on gas one day so I went there and noticed they had two 87 selections, one with 10% ethanol the other with no ethanol. I put 20 bucks of the ethanol free gas in and I kid you not I started getting 3 more miles a gallon than I normally would. I got about 30 miles more on $20 than I normally would. I was shocked! I'm averaging 18 mpg in the city! No joke.

I run it most of the time. The only time I don't is when I'm away from home and need gas. The difference is notable. Run it in atv's and can tell a huge difference as well. It's all around better fuel. I used to have a 98 ram that wouldn't run with ethanol blend gas. Turns out the ethanol would separate from the gas and sit on top in the tank. When I got to a quarter tank it would rough idle and sputter and wouldn't make enough power to keep itself running. I'd go to make a turn and the truck would die lol. Have to keep foot on the gas and brake at a stop sign to keep it lit . Ethanol is garbage.

From my understanding you're supposed to run non ethanol gas in atv's, lawnmowers etc. Ethanol gas is made for vehicles 08 and above. The non ethanol gas here is 10 cents a gallon higher than 10% ethanol gas.. but it's worth every penny.

I guess I'm lucky that it's only 2 cents more per gallon here. That makes it pay for itself every time I fill up ..... Even if it did cost 94 dollars to fill up tonight... Might be closer to normal here because of the military installation, they may be trying to compete.

You notice that much of a difference? WOW!
I ran 10% for awhile in my truck and kept mileage records, anywhere from 14.8-15.2 MPG
And I have been running pure gas for the past 2 months now, and get anywhere from 15.4-15.7MPG
I have plenty of pure gas stations by me (3 between work and home) and 10 cent difference in regular, but they jack up the premium 93 fuel a good bit over the 10%, but I am about to switch to straight 93. Hopefully I will see results from that, but I doubt it.

Eat. Sleep. Lift.
Why do ppl run anything higher than 87 octane, 99% of vehicles are made for 87, just light some dollar bills on fire instead of using 'premium', you get the same effect lol

some people have tunes that require a higher octane.
