Welcome to the site!
Not sure what you mean by 'light damage'?
Don't know that anything was done wrong due to the battery change. Suggest to start with the basics - got fuel, got spark?

ITs the OPTI spark.. Its always the Opti.. Sorry.. ok First thing to do is check for spark and fuel. Do you hear the fuel pump prime when the key comes on? Its not good but you can test spark with a screw driver and a helper. Pull a wire off of a plug and put the screwsriver in the end and put it near a good ground. Spin the engine over and look for spark. Let us know from there.

Has it ran since the wreck? If not, as RedRyder was alluding to - the inertia switch may have tripped. Do you hear the fuel pump run for one to two seconds when you roll the key to ON?
Not sure where this switch is located for your model year - easy pushbutton reset. May be behind a kick panel. IIRC, mine is up under the carpet near the firewall under the brake pedal.
Suggest to check for spark and fuel to figure out which way to look further. There should be a Schrader valve on the fuel rail (looks like a tire stem valve). You can check here for fuel pressure - be careful, could be up to 40psi if the system is charged.
Excellent tips have been given by other members - this may be just an issue of methodically going through and eliminating possibilities one-by-one.
Good luck, and let us know what you find!
