Engine upgrades?
#73
hey fellas, I'm pretty new to the site and so far I've been doing ALOT of reading. Anyway, i purchased a 2010 f150, 5.4 v8.... the next day i went to a buddies house and showed him the truck. Long story short, he gave me a supercharger that came off of a 2003 HD w/ 5.4. My question is.... what all would i need in order to make this work? I've tried pulling up schematics on the engine and doing research but i must not be doing a good job. please feel free to ask any questions, and any help will be appreciated. BTW, the site is amazing!

No that won't work either. The intake manifold being different (3 valve vs 2 valve) you would probably have interferance with the fire wall and also run in to a belt alighnment issue since the snout on the blower is so long. It was designed for proper alighnment on the 2v motor using a crank pulley like yours now but with an additional pulley mounted to the front of it to drive the blower. The inlet of the blower is setup to use an oval shapped throttle body that is cable driven. Your F150 has a round throttle body that is drive by wire. You can't eleminate the drive by wire.
