No, I believe being a bit sarcastic about putting $1k for max of 30 hp, and putting that money towards a supercharger. I don't know how much superchargers cost, but lets say one cost $4000. I believe you net more horsepower for the dollar than the figure he mentioned.

Yea I was thinking Blown Ford said it was dumb spending 1000$ on things like a tuner, exhaust and intake for only 20-30 hp.

I put true duals on mine and it runs great about to get a edge evo and always run 91 octane and I can tell the difference with just the exhaust and octane

dude, heads and cams $$$$ with the modular motors...........read up on it a bit
not really a thread jack, just one poster getting banged on.........
but heads and cams certainly more than $1k

more worth it on a 4.6, but that is why I asked what motor
especially if you stroke the 4.6.
dont know what type of gains you can get with the 4.6's short stroke and bore, you would need the head polish/port job in my opinion to get the little engine to "breath"
I have been reading up on the 4.6 because I have one.......

If you want engine mods BlownFord, is the guy to consult with about what to get.

drinking my kaffee now too, maybe that is why I went a little too far with the 4.6 mods
but I do know mods to that engine to get the "bang for your buck" will be $$$
stroker would be the most bang, bring me to around 400 + ft lb torque but how do I justify that to the wife?
but now I am hijacking, sorry to the op

Yeah, I was looking up parts for it. I have a 4.6, a set of heads is about $2200 and cams are around $600. I'm just wondering what kind of gains you'd actually SEE from heads and cams.

look at some mustang forums.........my mind is a little fuzzy right now, but the tests I saw were carbuerated.......the throttle bodies were with larger throttle bodies

stroked was where the big gains came from. If you go that route, get a bone yard motor and go from there

SORRY the the OP again
