Default Engine skips with Edge Evo

While running my truck w/Edge Evo level 2 towing, engine skips between 30 to 40 mph. If I hit the throttle hard it clears and accelerates hard like it should. Seems to skip only during normal driving but worse under a load like maintaining speed uphill. Runs fine in stock or level 1 transmission only. Truck is 07 5.4 K/N drop in filter, Flowmaster 50 series sido muffler. Can't get a hold of PHP to ask about custom tuning but have sent an E Mail and waiting for reply. Any ideas?

I had an Evo on my 04 and my 06, but I never experienced that. Did you try calling edge? They were very helpful when I needed to have my unit updated for the new software.

Called Edge, tech said the engine was just responding to the new tuning. He asked if I had tried adjusting any of the custom settings such as converter locking points which I have with no help. I don't think it's tranny related, seems like a pop through the the throttle body. If it stops raining today I may try to clean the throttle plate and see if that helps.

Thanks for the reply,

Mike

Level 2 tow : WOT 1-2 5050, 2-3 5050, 3-4 4900.
Shift points 1-2 +2, 2-3 +5, 3-4 +5, 2-1 0, 3-2 0, 4-3 0.
Timing up *.5 I hope this lasts because it sure is fun now!

That reminds me. I haven't bumped my base timing back up since I had to reset it for smog test.
