I'm new to this but I was a bit concerned about a hesitation or "bumping" in my engine when I am coasting at 45-55 and try to accelerate. If I press the gas hard enough it skips it and is fine but I don't know what the problem is. Any help would be great! I drive a 2008 lariat with 5.4L triton v8.

Tune up, trans flush.

Could be a bad coil. I had the same problem. Shop had to hook up and drive to test under the same conditions. Changed the coil and the problem went away.

I had similar problem and it was a few loose plugs which ruined them.

mine had this problem when I was test driving it. it was the spark plugs. exact symptoms you posted. New spark plugs fixed it right away

I had this exact problem this summer. Ended up being a cop that went bad. I had to intentionally let it keep hesitating so it would throw a CEL to make sure that was the problem tho. (Wouldn't throw one for like the first week)
