Default Electric Fans

I am looking to get electric fans to run in my 04 FX4 5.4L.. I was wondering what others were running with theirs? How much gain am I going to see because some places I have read up to 15 hp and 2 mpg and other places I have read you won't gain anything noticeable. Should I get dual? How big should I get? Lots of questions hopefully you guys can help me!!

I'm pretty sure any gains will go unnoticed. The clutch fans rarely engage as it is. Unless you live in extreme heat and really work your truck hard. About the only gain I see is visually. They look better.
If you can find a dyno shop, call them and ask. 15hp is pretty hard to swallow for a clutch fan. Flex fan, maybe.

I'm curious about this as well. I was looking at the kit Troyer has. Does anyone have that one on their truck... the dual 16" fans I mean. Here's the link http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...no=PPI-EFK1604

A buddy and I have been kicking around ideas about his car and my truck. He tells me when I purchase an e-fan setup, to make sure it comes w/ a shroud. I can't tell but does that troyer? Also, is there a reasoning he is telling me this or no particular? He's very knowledgable. Can tear into any vehicle, gas diesel turbo whatever, and get it fixed. TIA

The kit from troyer says that both fans come with a shroud as well as their custom fit mounting brackets... it looks pretty much all inclusive but I don't have experience installing them or much knowledge about them. Maizen beat to the punch as far as making a post goes lol

Wow thanks for that link che. That sounds like some very unhappy campers because of Troyer's design... Perhaps these instead http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FLX-270/?rtype=10?

I've read horror stories about that one too on my bronco forum! Search for ls1 fans, I read those are good!
