Thinking of ordering an edge programmer for my 2006 f150 5.4L king ranch screw. Would you guys recommend this and If so which model?

I have the Edge Evolution with the dash pod. I love mine and the pod gives you an OEM installation look. It's fun to play with the settings and see the 5.4 come alive. Makes a noticeable difference when towing my travel trailer.

From my own research if your are thinking Edge Evo I would take a hard look at a Gryphon by PHP. It is an Edge Evo that is reprogrammed by PHP. They claim gains above the Edge and retain all the Edge features. Their customer service is great and personal (you can talk to the owners).

In addition they can do custom tunes for your stock or altered F150 if you have the Gryphon.

Worth having a look at

I have a gryphon , I love it, you can get new custom tunes anytime, just order the tune, wait for an email, then plug it in to your computer... Boom.

If you really want one, just watch the for sale section here. You can find them for around $200 most the time.Otherwise, look at the SCT line-up

SCT Livewire or PHP Gryphon. I have an Edge CS Best money I spent on my truck by far. I can't image not having it. I just wish they supported custom tunes still.

I have the edge CTS Perfect for me. Amazing difference! seriously a completely new truck. No more throttle lag, no more lag when down shifting. And with the premium tune the power is fantastic. Even with the regular octane tune the power is great. Best money I have ever spent on the truck. 100% better!

Oh and i picked up a good 1.5-2 MPG on regular tune and 2.5-3 MPG on the premium tune. No joke, was not expecting that.

I really like mine and Ive had it on the truck for 50k miles.

I don't see a need for a custom tune on a stock truck.
