Default Edge Evolution Vs. Bully Dog Triple Dog GT for 5.4L

Been looking at both programmers Bully dog is a little more but seems to me like it has a few more options than the edge and no it doesnt do much for performance but its a little more appealing to the eye as well. from what ive seen both have 3 power settings, read and clear codes, and can adjust a lot of options. But the bully dog has a driving coach feature to show you where to make adjustments for max powwer and fuel effenciency. thats just what i see but anybody who has either or had both let me know what you think. thanks

PHP uses the Edge hardware for their programable product (Gryphon). You might look at their website also. Programmers are like oils and exhausts,...there are many to consider, and all of them have people who swear by them and/or hate them.

I have a Bully dog triple dog programmer for sale. $375cdn. I found that I got more out of my tank with it, CAI and exhaust done.

Default uninstalling bullydog gt

I've got the bullydog gt on my 08 f150 with the 5.4. Had it about a year and usually run the 87 octane program since gas has gotten so expensive. No noticeable increase in mpg. Seems to make the transmission upshift through the gears too quickly and throttle response is sluggish, like the truck just doesn't want to go. I have updated it regularly. I switched back to factory settings today and immediately noticed the truck had more get up and go from a dead stop. I'm not talking about punching it, just normal around town driving. Shifts better too. I've been thinking about selling the bullydog and switching over to the edge evo. The bullydog is pleasing to the eye and has some nice features, but overall I'm disappointed with the results I've gotten with it.

Hands down gryphon programmer is the best for the money in my opinion. Can run canned tunes but also have custom tunes saved on the computer.

I had the BD and it is junk for the 5.4L plain and simple. No noticeable power gain or MPG gains. To make the driving coach happy you need to drive 45 MPH everywhere you go and take 10 minutes to get up to speed. For what its worth it was worth every penny on my Nissan, but stunk on the 5.4L.
