Edge Evolution question W/ 3.55 & 255/70-17
I just installed the Evo a couple of days ago & love it. I have a question, that may have an obvious answer, but I wanted to see what the experts think.
I have a 2008 F150 XLT 4x4 with 3.55 gears (axle code H9) & 255/70-17 tires. When the edge ask for a custom program both of these values are incorrect. 3.73 gears & I can't remember the exact tire size, but its bigger than the 255's. The manual says these values come from the stock PCM. It also states do not change these values unless you have changed tires or replaced gears with something different from stock, which I have not done.
After all that explaining here is my questoin. Do I do the obvious & change the values........or leave them alone?
Thanks in advance!!!!!

I believe the edge doesn't read the size of ur stock size of the computer, if the number on the screen is not the correct size... by all means change it to the correct size. Same thing with the gears.
Also, speedos on our trucks are off a little, most people use gps to dial in the tire size to the correct speed.

Yes you should change these values. It'll keep your speedo right, and may affect shift points etc.
Then, any time you change your power levels, go to "download previous settings" and it'll keep your custom settings in whatever power level you pick.
I think I have mine set at around 2600mm for my 285 tires.

The Edge will show placeholder values when you create a user adjustable tune. Then when it is writing the tune, it takes the values from the stock PCM strategy and inserts them during tuning. You see the placeholder values when you see 3.73 etc, as long as you don't go into the gears or tire size menu when creating a "custom" Edge tune, there is no need to change them.

Read your instructions carefully. 444 above is correct. ...the place holder values are just that, and might not reflect what YOUR truck has installed. It took me a couple episodes to understand what I was doing on my Gryphon (similar to your Edge) too.

i got 315/70/17 = 35" gives me 2693mm for 35"
multiply half of the height by 3.14 then by 25.4 =equal to MM round tire
Also I got mine wondering if i could program my friend's truck and see if the program pcm would still keep the updated info and run any one who tried this before
