What custom programs are y'all running with a 6in lift and 35s? I am just running it on towing mode right now. I also have the 5.4, thanks.

With my Gryphon, I am running 87 tow, 87 performance and 93 performance. As my daily driver as of late I have been using the 87 performance. Like yourself some use the 87 tow as their daily driver and I did that as well when I first got it. I have not tried the 93 performance yet.

Is the 87 tow on the Gryphon the same as on the Edge Evo #2 setting? If so, how much of a difference do you see between the 87 tow and 87 performance settings?

What do you mean by "Is the number 2 setting on the Evo and 87 octane tow are the same"? What I was meaning when I said what I did was that a lot of people use the 87 tow tune as a daily driver, nothing more nothing less. In my opinion it is unfair to compare the Gryphon with Custom tunes(which is what I have) to the Edge Evo with canned tunes. You are talking two totally different beasts here. What are the three settings on the Edge?

To answer your question about the the difference in the Tow and Performance tunes on the Gryphon, I see very little difference between the two.

I was just wondering the difference you see in the 87 tow and 87 performance settings because people recommend that if you have a CAI that you should use the performance instead. Ill be getting a CAI soon so thats why I was wondering. Sorry to sound confusing.

Ahhh ok and thanks for clarifying. I don't know where the people your speaking of heard of using the Performance VS. Tow tune if you have a CAI. Not saying its not true, just never personally heard about it is all. I have a CAI and in my opinion, the differences are so minute performance wise between the Performance and Tow tune that I honestly can't tell any difference between the two in performance. I think there are differences, I just haven't noticed any. I have run both tunes for a few months straight a couple different times and still can't tell a difference unless I go in and start tweeking the settings.

I've used some stuff from this thread and others to modify my canned level 3 tune on my gryphon. My question is do you think it is worth it to get a custom tune from PHP? My custom version of lvl3 is pretty impressive over canned. Could a custom tune be that much better? I just don't wanna be disappointed. I run high octane fuel all the time like 91 93. And my tuner stays on level 3.

I've wondered this too. Also, I would recommend trying level 2 with 93 octane and adding more timing. Feels the same as level 3 to me except more low end torque.

Can't speak from experience, but the general consensus seems to be yes it's absolutely worth it. Noticeable gains especially if you have modded it fairly heavily ie: pulleys, long tubes w/ Offroad y or x pipe, intake or even S/C or T/C
