Default Edge Evo keeps turning off

So after about 2-3 minutes my edge will just turn off after starting my truck! I'll have to unplug it and turn it back on and sometimes it'll turn right back off any ideas?

Cable loose maybe at the back of the edge, cable bad and has an intermittent problem, is there an issue with your ODB connector and lastly and probably the most expensive, programmer has an internal failure. You can test the programmer by plugging it into your computer and see if it stays on without cutting off.

I am guessing the cable from the Edge to the ODBII port as well. ^^^Great advice on testing if it is the Edge itself or the cable.

I checked the connection on both ends of the edge and no luck still keeps turning off, I'll have to find the cable to hook it up to the computer now lol

I forget what the exact cable is called, but I think it's "mini USB". You'll find it easiest on Amazon. I went to best buy and bought a TomTom car charger kit. It comes with a Micro USB cord and a Mini USB cord. PLUS it has the USB charger for your lighter or 12v output. Try that one.

Yea, chances are is that your cell phone cable will fit. Might save you a trip to WalMart. Post what you find out. Good luck, I would rather it be the cable than the programmer.

Yeah. You'll want to find the Mini USB. The Micro USB is what all of the phones and stuff are using. Your Mini USB will be found on older model digital cameras (even the newer cameras are using micro USB).
