I've been looking around at Evos. Most have been in the high 400.00 to low 500.00. I'm wondering if this one is a reman?

That's new. That's about what they should cost.. $450 or more is rip off.
Go to powerhungryperformance and buy a Gryphon. Same price but you can get custom tunes later down the road.. It's a rebadged Edge.

I thought of eBay but I'm afraid of getting a locked one. I know I'd get my money back if paid by PayPal but it's such a hassel...maybe I'll try anyway you guys seem to have done well.

I want to be able to play with the performance part from time to time but am mostly looking for the mpg increase out of these things. I have not looked at the Gryphon. Will it give me the MPG increase too?

Checked it out...Looks like it does the same stuff as the Evo and more.
