After years of playing around with 2 stroke tuning I've recently become more interested in ECU tuning (in this case the ford eec as I have an 04 5.4). I've read some good papers/articles on theory and on practice. Now I am not ready to start "trying" things on my daily truck. But I am just wondering if anyone has done some tuning (adjusting scalars, functions and tables). I think on Ford trucks with the drive by wire throttle, some tuners adjust the settings on that also. (Yes I know all this is very subjective without a dyno.)

Also wondering if there are company's that have canned tunes to buy? I'm not getting my hopes up since their profit relies on their secret tunes not being distributed amongst the public. Just checking though.

Just something I can open up and look at spark advance values, a/f ratios, etc. Anyone have any recommendations for software?
