Easy Transmission Temp Guage
I saw a few older threads without much detail on this topic, so I thought I'd share my solution. As I'm towing a heavy load (within range of my trucks sticker but out of range of the collective opinions here), I wanted to be able to monitor my transmission temperature. I was not in the mood to spend much money nor run wires from through the firewall and worry about a clean install.
I found this Android App, Torque, that works with a bluetooth OBD2 device. I have to say, it was pretty cheap and easy. $6 for the app and $13 for the OBD2 adapter (ELM 327 on Amazon). It works, no fishing cables or cutting plastic. Serves my purpose. I'm an iPhone guy, but have an Android for work. You can easily get a cheap Android Tablet to do this as well. I have not explored all the different telemetry you can monitor with this set up, but its good.
Hope this helps.

Go to Menu-Settings-Manage extra PIDs/Sensors. Then click menu again to Add Predefined Set. There will be a package for Ford. There are a ton of extras.

I've only used it once so far, so I can't say for sure what my usual will be. I just got the rear end re-geared yesterday, so I suspect I'll have some different values. I am planning to get some custom tunes for my SCT Tuner, just have not gotten around to it yet.
