early and late 2004 exhaust changes
so, I'm looking around for an exhaust and noticed that some manufacturers have different exhaust systems for early '04 and late '04. I have a build date of oct. '03. does anyone know exactly what the difference is? like if the exhaust hangers are in different spots, I could fix that myself, but if something big was in the way, then thats a deal breaker.
I'm finding lots of nice and cheap exhausts listed for '04-'08 but I'm assuming all of those are for late '04+

As long as you get a catback system you should be alright. I know there is a time that Ford decided to use 4 cats instead of 2. My 05(build 11-04) only had 2 I don't know exactly when it was changed.
They also made a F-150 heritage in the transition of body styles. There are some 04 f-150's with the 97-03 body style. I think this is what the issue is.
