All the posts I'm finding are from years ago, but has anyone purchased a Toyer E Fan with in the last year? Just wondering if they fixed the problems they had with the controllers.

Thanks!

I don't anything about Toyer E-fan, but one thing I know with Motorcraft E-fan and Painless controller is a match that can't be ignored!. have them on my truck for 2 years now and no complain.

Yep.

Motorcraft RF-269 and either a Painless F5 or a DCC FK-Series, FTW

BTW - while the Derale Tornados in the TP kit are good fans, the controller is still not reliable. And it's only a simple on/off controller - you really should be running a robust, reliable constant-temperature, variable speed, soft-start device.

Here's my thread on it. Updated it just about a month ago with some better pics. Troyer is out of business from what I have been able to gather.

Nearly 4 years on this setup without an issue. Motorcraft fans from the 2010 and up model with Painless controller. Keeps mine cool pushing over 600hp.

I've got a Lincoln Mark VIII fan and a DC controls fan controller. The only issue I have is a loose connector at the fan, but that's not uncommon from what I've read.

And post #13 (mine) describes the event when Brian at DCCControllers was having issues getting his shipped. I had purchased one from him back in 2010. Real good controller, and was fortunate in that it only took a few weeks to get mine; others clamied they wated months, and finally requested refunds.

In another thread on the 1987 to 1996 Forum, I mentioned all this in a thread. A member from the DCController site joined in (not sure if it was Brian) and stated I was incorrect; that he ever had back trouble/surgery, nor did that conversation with him take place.

Thanks for reviving this thread. I knew this came up before and was searching for the thread/posts on it.

10hp give or take over the clutch fan. Tons of room under the hood with that stupid shroud gone. Of course if you do a single fan you'll need the shroud.

Where did you all install the temp probe with the f5 controller?
