Default dual exhaust help

so I'm working on going with a true dual setup but got a few questions

so far I got...
X-pipe crossover
Twin Dynomax Bullets
either dumped behind the axle or RBP exhaust tip

I plan on ordering the mufflers myself to help split costs, so my questions....

-am I ok with keeping stock cats?
-what size piping should I use so I know what inlet/outlet to get for the muffler?

vid of the outcome...

I was thinking of doing the true dual as well. Most of the suggestions I got said to do 2.5". My brother works for a muffler company and explained it to me like using a hose. If you have a one inch hose and the pressure is good you don't change to a two inch hose unless you increase the pressure because the flow won't be as good.
