Dual exaust before rear tire regrets
I am about to get custom exhaust done on my truck I am leaning towards dual exit before the passenger side tire. Just wondering what the pros/cons of this system are

Id say a pro is its not the most common setup out there but really its what you like and want on your truck. Another pro would be it will be cheaper than using pipe to go all the way to the back of the truck.

If they integrated somehow into the quarter panel, it would look GREAT!
The cons are the noise on the passenger side (depending on how loud of a muffler you use). Also, you may lose some ground clearance if you are an off-roader (or plan to be).

The older bodystyle trucks had factory passenger exit. They had a recall to remove the pipe and extend it out of the rear because the moisture from the exhaust rusted everything on the passenger rear wheel. Other than that it looks pretty tough if done right.

I did this set up on my truck mainly because it was cheaper and easier than doing it any other way..
That and like was mentioned-not everyone has it done like that..
What I don't like are rear exit duel exhaust that have uneven tips...

It was the 97-98 models I believe that had this issue. Also, the passenger rear rim and lug cap would discolor.

That was also back when Ford had the genius idea to use a rubber o ring to center the wheel and flat lugnuts . If you're going for cheap, use your factory rear muffler pipe section to make a couple turn downs. I cut the bends off pretty close to 45 and if you get at an angle to see em, they look pretty good lol.
