Default Dropped trailer hitch - how much?

I have a stock 07 F150, 4WD, 5.4

I tow my cobra on a simple open trailer, it tows great. But, using a 2" dropped hitch, it puts the trailer on quite an angle.

What amount of drop has been found to get most trailers trailer level?

(I used to tow the same trailer with an Explorer sport track, and the level was perfect, so trying to get back to that level.)

Mine is adjustable up and down, but mostly keep it on 4 inch.

Flip it over..or buy a straight. maybe you have too much tongue weight... move the Corba back a little on the trailer to adjust your tongue weight.

I guess I need to clarify that the hitch is too high up, and the rear of the trailer is close to the ground. Need to level things up.

Level your trailer with the tongue jack and measure the height to the base of the hitch. Go back and measure your truck with the trailer attached (to account for sag in the rear suspension) and determine the appropriate height.

Tough for anyone to answer because of the difference in trucks (level in front or not and lifetime sag of springs) and the height of your trailers hitch.

Unless you have lifted or lowered your truck a 3&1/2 in drop should put you a just about level.

This is how you get the drop/rise measurement.
