Drop in bedliner; garbage?

I have had both but mostly a drop-in. I mainly use the bed for work like hauling firewood, rocks, fence posts, and fencing. I find the Drop-in protects good against dents. I actually like stuff to slide....easy in....easy out. Big, unsplit 48" round slabs of oak are much more friendly if they can slide. To each their own....be happy!

I've had:
Bedrug (01 Lightning)
Line-X (03 XLT)
Rhino (99 F350)
Nothing (various, including 84 Hilux diesel)
Drop in (current and 96 Lightning)
Drop in wins the day for durability -- sod, rock, mulch, pallets, lumber -- yeah, there are some knicks and gouges, but I wouldnt give up my drop in on my 07 for any of the rest.
NOT crap, much the opposite.

I prefer a drop in. Much better dent protection and I have never had a rust or rot issue.

I've had both, my old ranger had a drop in that worked great, not damaging the bed at all, I had a Chevy 2500 with a spray in that was super thick that was awesome to work with, very easy to clean the bed after hauling dirt or whatever, now my F150 has a drop in and its a pile of junk. the bed is rubbed raw in a few spots, one side is starting to warp and doesn't stay in place. I have also seen cheap spray ins peel. I think either way you go the best is to research specific brand's and find out the best quality for your intended use. Cheap drop in or cheap spray in are only going to let you down, a high quality drop in or high quality spray in will be your best bet.

I'm going to rely on it. I saw a kick *** job done on BIG Henke snowplow- the whole truck yellow + plows + gray in bed. Used last year washed it - its called anti-stick check that out. It washes with this degreaser. My dad's shop guy used 9 SLC bedliner kits to do it its held up last winter still now. now I saw this report looks like a lock. I waited to know what to use on 87 AM General M998 Humvee HMMWV wish me luck but I'm feeling right. Can't afford a shop to do it - shops want over $4k my dad's guy wants $7/sq ft + the SLC kit cost over $900. No way.
