I went to open my drivers side door and when I pulled on the handle I heard pop and heard a small part falling down through the interior of the door. Now the drivers side door doesn't want to open using the exterior handle, the interior handle is still functioning. Will I have to replace the entire door handle?

The short answer is likely yes. You need to get in the door and see what broke. Could be something else, but likely the handle.
