Default Driver's Seat bottom replace / repair / cover ?

2005 ext cab xl with grey 40/20/40 seats , seatbelt in seat , drivers seat bottom worn out. Is there a bottom cover available that can stand up better than original ? Full set of covers is close to 300 ? Any suggestions ? In Vancouver BC area.

Don't try to get it from Ford. When you see the price you will experience seizures and convulsions. I had a well respected local upholstery shop recover both front seats in a flint grey vinyl that perfectly matched the original leather, and perfectly matched the rear seat which is vinyl anyway. I replaced the drivers bottom foam (from Ford unfortunately ) due to it being broken down on the entry/exit edge. I was right at 1500 USD out the door. I siezed a little at that number as it was.

If you're looking at full covers and are worried about price, check out the cabelas trailgear seat covers. They're nothing fancy, but are inexpensive and work very well. I've got them on my '06 right now and also had them on my '04. They're a bit tight but after adjusting the velcro and tightening the sides they fit pretty well. I got them when they were on sale for $19.99. They're not high end seats but at that price you can afford to get a couple extra to have as spares. I've only put about 3 years use on one set, but a guy from work had a set for over 5 years before he wore a hole in the driver's seat cover.

Johnny, I suppose that WAS a little misleading. I was 1500 OTD for everything. That being said, that foam bottom pad was something like $250.

I got a foam bottom from ebay for $150 shipped just a few months ago.

Also katskin is 1300 OTD installed everything. That is a full leather interior for my super crew.
