Driver door opens too far

Driver door opens too far
Hello all. Recently I acquired an '04 F150 Super cab, and last weekend when the wind was blowing hard I noticed the door flung open all the way until the front of the door hit the bottom hinge in the door jam. This cracked. Ever since then I've noticed that the door will open all the way until hitting that hinge rather easily.
I've searched here and google. Nothing relevant at all.
Can someone give me some pointers or should I just be more careful when opening the door?

It appears the hinge(s) are bent/sprung from the wind pushing the door too far back; they will most likely need to be replaced. Take it to your nearest Ford dealers body shop and have them look at it; they should do this for free, as it will only take a minute to determine if this is the case.

There's also a door stop - a shaft that comes out of the door to the doorjam area to limit it's travel. Is that still present? Might be as simple as that's come undone or broke.

That is still there and still goes into the gasket into the door jam. I guess it is broke inside there though. I wonder if the fender has to come off to replace it.

I have a similar problem with my 04 FX4 extended cab. The top hinge is visibly split near where the steel attaches to the cab. Does anyone have a clue how much it costs to take care of this problem?
