The factory speakers are equipped with a plug that contains both positive and negative in the plug. The other portion of the plug is connected to the speaker wire harness in the door. The adapter takes that plug in the door and turns it into separate positive and negative leads that will plug into the +/- of the aftermarket speaker. All it is doing is taking one plug and play system and converting it to another plug and play system.

infinity kappa's (not sure the part number or series#) - clean, crisp, clear sound.
had them in my 00 F150, installed them in my dad's Freightliner, in my brother's Cadillac Deville, & in my dad's 65' Bel Air.

ive got memphis power references 119 a pair, they sound great but to get the best sound out of any speaker you need to amp them IMO and yes 5x7 all around
