Door Rattle - FIXED

Thanks for the picture Cutless. I also have a rattle going on in my door. Especially because I just upgraded the stereo system. I have been broken into so their might be a bit of glass at the bottom but I'm pretty sure my rattle is just a few loose wires...
08screwCA, lube up the pullies on the window glass while you are in there. The start to squeak and might as well get them done in one shot.

My door was really bad. I installed new bumpers 2 weeks ago, the rattle came back within a few days. So today I added some 5/8" ID rubber hose.... Almost as long as the new bumpers. Door shuts nice and solid, no more rattle.

So I have no idea why, but all four doors rattling on my F150 FX4 SCrew really bothered me. So I went to the stealership and ordered four new rubber door stops. Save yourself some money and buy them online. The part number is 4L3Z 16758 BA/ I paid like $28 for four, you can find them online for like $1.50 each if you look hard enough. This helped...... for about a week. Soon they were mushroomed quite a bit like the old ones: Upon looking a little closer, this is by design to allow the excess rubber to push back against the door while it's shut and keep it from rattling. The problem is, that the lower sidewalls are too weak to allow it to do much at all, and eventually the whole thing collapses. So I decided to give it a little help. I had some Tygon 1/2"ID x 3/4"OD tubing laying around, and I found that this piece fit just right, stretching the tubing just slightly around the base giving it a nice snug fit. A short time later I had the first one ready: Remember, we only want to re-inforce the base, if we cover the excess rubber the door won't shut. I made this mistake the first time. It took a bit of trial and error to get this length as just right. Finally installed them on my truck: The doors now do not rattle at all, even when going off-road and over speed bumps. So stoked about this little upgrade. Best of all I only used about $1.00 worth of tubing. Now I just need to pull the actual door panel off the inside and zip-tie down all the cables so they don't rattle either! Hope this helps someone else!

Beach bumming it...
I ended up purchasing these: http://www.oemfordpart.com/oem-part/...=-W705903-S300
After some search these rubber stoppers are exact fit and are more durable. The design and body are solid. I have had them on for a week now and not rattle.
Of course now I hear the door hand cables which I will be fixing this weekend

I had to do the electrical tape thing to my driver door, the other doors are fine. If you take off one layer at a time and try the door, there is a balance between rattle and having to push the door any harder. Just remember that both front and back portions count as a "layer" as far as the latch is concerned. My sweet spot was 5 layers total, or 2.5 wraps.
If your door "squeaks" after all of this like mine did, add a little white lithium grease to the door stop, that's usually what's squeaking.
