door ajar warning

Default door ajar warning

06 F-150 5.4l crew cab. The door ajar warning has been on for the last week. all doors are closed. door panel power lock won't work. remote will still working to lock/unlock.

assistance needed

The "door ajar" works off of an "inner" dor switch (have to take the door panels off to get to them. I suspect the door panel door lock and one of these inner switches are related.

Spray WD40 in the door latches and open and close the door a few times.

my 05 did this too. Spray WD40 in a door latch then repeatedly slam it over and over about 10 times spray and repeat. keep doing this on each door latch til the door ajar goes away. I have the 4 door super crew so it took a while but eventually I got to the right door. Many guys on here have done this to fix their problem.

i gave up on the wd40 and slamming the door. I dissconnected the battery, and back put back on again. and that took care of it!! don't know why I didn't try that sooner.

I think when you popped the hood, you slammed the door as you went to unhook the battery and that was the one that did it. lol
