Two ways to find out for sure; take your VIN number to the nearest Ford dealer parts department and they can look it up by this VIN.

The other way is to provide us the numbers/letters thats found on the rear end on a tag, or the door jamb. Then we can tell you for sure.

Nope. Only GM products have posi traction. Ford products have limited slip. And the above poster is correct. The best way to find out is to run your VIN.

Just look on the badge on the inside door where it meets the frame of the truck when closed. There will be a code under the bracket called "axle". Tell us the code and that will tell you what gear ratio your axle is and whether or not it is limited slip or non-limited slip.

you could also jack up the back of the truck, put it in neutral, and turn one tire. If the other tire spins in the same direction, you have it, and if it spins in the opposite direction, you don't. But the door code is definitely easier.

Your answers are as easy as going to Google.com and asking in their search window.

There is no difference. Ford calls their limited slip Traction-Lock and GM calls theirs Posi-Traction. It's all the same thing.
