Default Does my F-150 have a open diff or a posi trac

i have a 2008 f150 i just got and im in the process of getting it fixed up and want to know if it has an open diff or a posi trac cause i know when i do even a little offroading if i hit some soft dirt it feels like only one wheel is spinning and i want to know what do i have to do to get both wheels to spin?!? my truck is 2wd also

At the top of the forum, there's a header marked "tech tools".

In that drop down menu is a VIN decoder. The VIN should give you the info you need.

The best your going to have is limited slip...look on your drivers door jamb sticker and post your axle code..

Is your truck a fx4?? The vast majority of those come with the limited slip.

I checked mine by spinning out on ice with a buddy watching. Then i read up about the axle code. but its more fun spinning the tires
