Yep. The black powdery residue and the tiny hole tells me yes.

Time to get rid of the "horse troft" stock muffler, and replace with a turbo muffler of choice. Do a search on mufflers; like buttholes, everyone has an opinion on what's best.

It may be, but exausts also have a weep hole. they are usually in the middle so it probly is.

Looks like a weep hole to me. I've seen them in the rear also. Then again, it could be a leak.

Does it sound any different??? Ticking, louder???

Default exhaust leak

My new 08 Screw had the same thing with less than 5000 miles on it. it's from the factory to keep the water from building up inside there and rusting it out too fast

i was just under it for other stuff and i looked at it again and the hole is very perfect. like its supposed to be there. i havent noticed anything louder or loss in power. theres no corrosion to anything close to it so maybe its fine

Ditto that. It's there to allow accumalated water to drain from the muffler in order to slow down the corrosion process.

if thats a weep hole its a very poor design - water must flow over a fold/crease in order to drain??? I would think on the bottom in that location would work better - but who am i

I would think the pressure would blow it out. That's more then likely the reason it's in the rear.
