Default Does a long bed cause bad mileage?

I bought an 06 Scab with an 8ft bed. I am getting terrible mileage out of it. Last time I checked, I averaged 12mpg, all highway driving. I was doing 75 but still, I would be able to get at least 15mpg at that speed in my last truck, and that was with me driving like a maniac. Tomorrow I'm going to pick up seafoam and Im going to attempt the dreaded spark plug change as well since I have the money and time. What could be killing the mileage on me? Everything is completely stock and I'm not sure of the size but it did come with all terrain tires if that makes a difference. Also, Ive never had a long bed before. Would that cause more wind resistance than a 6.5 ft bed?

Probably wind resistance, a tonneau cover would help.
