Just to give an idea of what "fabbing" I am talking about. Pick up the Jan. '09 edition of "Offroad" magazine. It's the one with a black '04 Screw on the front. The owner is rolling 37's. The steering still scares me , but it can easily be changed. It may not be your style, but this is what I see on my side of town.

again i do thank you for this info. that magazine is an easy one to run out and pick up in the morning. and get a few ideas from. what had really turned me onto the pro comp 6 inch kit was ORA this month. they claim they didn't mean to. but they listed it stage 1 with shocks for 1199.99

The lift in the magazine may not be what you are looking for, but it gives you more options. I'm partial to this style because I prefer "baja or pre- runner" over "big". And yes, the only thing I would change are the steering tie rods. I had the Stage 1 Pro Comp 6" running 35's on my ride, and it was the best riding out of the Rancho and Superlift. I never got to try the Fabtech. I think I may try the stage 2 or the King set up next time around based on the fact that both kits run adjustable coilovers in the front and shocks with resis (standard with King, and available for the Procomp) on the rear. Another thing to think about when going "big" is the strain you will be putting on the drivetrain(auto transmission). Especially if you tow.
