Default Do you think this will be okay? AddALeaf Help

I took a advanced auto parts add a leaf kit, and was going to install it the way it said too on the box, but they are so short and you would have to be HeMan himself to bend it to get the bracket on, but do you guys think its safe being flipped the way i have it? It should help it some at least but then again it may not do anything at all. Any opinions? Just trying to help the truck from sagging the leaf springs so bad when my 4 wheeler is in the back since i don't have the rear blocks in anymore.

I was also thinking about undoing the main brackets and try to shove it in the top but idk for sure!

Lol come on now, i'm not trying to lift the damn thing trying to give the leaf a support in a way so they get a little bit of a push back with a load on it.. They were cheapish so why not experiment with em. There's more clearance than you think you see. They can come off in like 5 mins

Umm.. I'm not sure those are doing any work at all. Its just extra metal to make you feel cozy. Plus they are too small for that location.. If they we're longer they my might work there.

But seriously, if you want them to actually do any work...
Jack the truck up for full axle droop, unbolt those leafs, then bolt them to the underside of the leaf behind the axle (from rear shackle, to rear axle).. Arch pointing to the ground.. It will actually limit the stress applied to the OEM leaf, and maintain a slightly better arch when loaded. But yes, they are still a junk solution.

I took a similar set off my 92 bronco that I purchased (stole) at auction for $350.. They actually did counteract the horrible sag in OEM springs.. But I ripped them out for a SKY shackle flip brackets and f250 leaf springs.

Aren't those... ...upside-down???

I think if you took those out you would actually increase your payload capacity by about... ....whatever those things weigh!!!

haha the things aren't even on the truck anymore, anyone got any good aftermarket ones they have used that are long enough to fit. I may just end up doing a 3" leveling kit.

Just get an add-a-leaf kit. It's nothing to unbolt those axle bolts and put another leaf in. Probably less than an hour, and no more money than you paid for those springs

I laughed out loud when I saw those pics! Upside down, right side up....either way, those things are just wrong!
