do? or not do?
I was thinking about painting my chrome bumper(s) on my 06 Black Lariat. is it possible to do it yourself? I mean can you make them look good doing it yourself.
I am in the process of putting black housing lamps (harley's) and I am putting on a black saleen grille, I had to buy the outer grille because mine was chrome. I know it sound silly, but after seeing alot of "blackout" trucks on this forum I would like mine to look alike. I am SICK of Chrome...
will post pics after installing mods...and MAYBE after paint job?

You CAN paint chrome but unless you have it professionaly done, it usually comes out looking like feces. Its also rather hard to prep chrome even in a body shop. I know that around me, there are only a handful that will mess with painting chrome. You CAN have it powdercoated and that will yeild much better and longer lasting results.

You could probably find an LKQ or similiar Black FX2 PTM takeoff, and sell yours on ebay/craiglist. People are looking for replacement truck bumpers all the time.
