Default Do I need to do anything with these tires ??

Ok this is my first post and I didn't know about this forum until about 60 minutes agoand it is great !!!. I searched around and there is lot of info on tires but I could not find what I wanted, so....

I have a FX4 supercrew 5.4L with a 2" leveling kit installed and I just replaced the stock BF goodrich 275/65/R18D's ( which were complete crap) with Michelin
AT2's in a 275/70/R18E's. Now so far they run great, no rubbing and inital milage calculations are still ( as it was before) about 14-16 mpg.

My question is because I went up in size should I get the truck's computer reprogramed ?? I should loose some milage shouldn't I ?? and what about towing, will the larger tire adversely affect my towing ( 24' trailer @ about 4500-5000 lbs ) without a reprogram ??
Thanks for any help and maybe I will post a pic of the truck cause man it looks good.

With that small of a size increase I wouldn't worry about getting anything reprogramed. I have 285/70/17s and its like a 2MPH difference at 65 MPH, according to my GPS unit.

You mileage might go down but it wouldn't be half a mile at most.

Tide I think there is a 2 mph difference between GPS & speedo anyway know matter what tire size. I have the stock tires and my GPS shows a 2 mph difference don't know which to believe lol

You can go to your dealership and they can adjust your speedo and shift points for you for about $80. Not a biggie though because as mentioned it's about a 2 mph difference.

if you have the 3.73 Rearend and I think your OD ratio is .7...

the change from 275/65 to 275/70 tires should make you go about 2.4 mph faster when running 2000 RPMs. So if your gas mpg seems the same it may actually be a bit better. You will have actually travelled 3% furhter than the tripometer reads.

I am happy with My factory Michellins, 255/65/17
