The top code on my window sticker says "220080403". Is my 08 fitted with the new design spark plugs? I have 83,8xx miles on it and want to change them around 90,000 to make sure they don't freeze up in the block. Are there any special precautions that I need to take when changing out the "new" plugs?

Coil boot color is a good quick check... Black old design, brown new design.

use pb blaster over night , fill up the holes , next day your plugs will be loose ,,

If you have the newer plugs SP-509 with Brown coil boots ... you need not do anything special to remove. They come right out..
