So...back to the steel tubing that contours around the left (driver-side) valve cover and seems to disappear/become inaccessible between the firewall and the back of the intake manifold....
Near as I can tell this steel line is connected to the underside of the intake manifold...I can't imagine that it came loose with the work that you performed on the engine. Nevertheless, if you are concerned that it has been disconnected / come loose, it would appear that you do have to remove the intake manifold to get to it.

GT, I didn't have the codes before doing the timing work so I figure that the vaccum leak is the problem. I found out that that vaccum line has a recall due to it coming off and causing brake pressure problems.
