My 05 has a a/c button, I assume they all did. I sincerely hope you didn't buy this truck for gas mileage🤑. The amount you'd save for 3+months of winter would be very small, but hey it's your truck, good luck.

Autozone has wiring diagrams. I'd head over there and sign up. I searched for my year, 2008. They did not have anything for 2008, but did for 2005. I would imagine they wiring has not changed, or if it has, the changes are major. So you should be able to do a toggle.

My brother had a jeep, he had rotary ***** setup so he could lock it in certain gears, lockup/unlock the TC, and **** like that. It was an old renault PLC controller he was saying.

I'd seriously like a TC lockup ****. "normal", "locked" and "unlocked" would be absolutely awesome.

I've done something similar on a '91, but I just installed a switch that let me manually unlock it. I cant think of a time when I would want to lock it, that the computer hasn't already done it.
It was a pretty simple matter of finding the power supply wire for the TC solenoid (as opposed to the signal wire). I used a single pole, dual throw, two position switch --also known as an ON-ON -- and hooked one side of the switch to a small red LED. When in manual unlock mode the LED would illuminate. Worked great and threw no codes.
