Default Changed my plugs... Still has a bad idle!

I just finished changing the plugs on my 06 FX4 5.4L with 135,000 KM's or about 84,000 miles first change never been done. Broke three removing them. One on the left side two on the right. Left side just the metal casing stuck in the hole but the two on the right the porcelain broke on both. used the lisle tool worked great everything came out fine with it. I am wondering though I thought changing the plugs would cure the rough idle but it still seems to have it. How long should I wait for all the carb cleaner I used removing plugs to burn off? I saw somewhere there is a PCM update to cure a rough idle is this correct? If so would I just call my local dealer to have it done to my truck, I know it has not been done to this truck because the previous owner did not maintain it as well as he should have. Thanks for the input.

I don't know anything about a PCM update, but I would definately check out the coil packs. Two of mine went before my truck hit 65,000 miles.

Try cleaning the MAF sensor? Heard that works for some.

My truck was idling really rough, almost felt like it was goin to stall so i changed the air filter and put some injector cleaner and now runs like new.
