Default Difference between gryphon and edge???

I'm new to this. What is the difference between the Gryphon and an edge evo? I have the edge with a CAI and a throttle body. Since I have put these mods on Ive had noticed power/mpg gains. Am I hurting my truck with these? Read a couple thread and am a little confused.

You'll be less confused when you use the search function to read ALL the threads that cover this subject in detail.

No it is not hurting your truck. A gryphon is simply a re-bagged edge that has custom tunes set for your specific truck

ok I read some things on here about runnin the CAI and edge and that not being good. Because the edge is for the stock motor. Is this correct? I havent had any problems at all. Im just hoping in the long run everything will be ok.

With an 06 5.4L, you're probably right, but some 06s have lean issues too.

What does that cause? Pinning?

No pinging is pre-ignition.

Lean means very high ignition temperatures and leads to burnt pistons and valves.
