Default Reverse problem - Failesafe mode

Hi all.

Jumped on here hoping someone might be able to provide some insight on my situation. I recently bought an F150 Lariat and due to credit situation it had to be a 2004 with 130k miles.

Today we got a big snowfall. As I was trying to leave I got slightly stuck as our street was the only not plowed. Shortly after the truck said transmission something Failesafe mode (wife was driving so not sure on exact wordage). I noticed that reverse was not working at all. After a lot of pushing and driving forward we got it back in the driveway and it looks as though there was some coolant in the snow. Not a ton but was there.

I'm curious as to what I'm looking at. Reverse worked as I left but literally got stuck halfway out of the driveway. The previous owner had installed a DVD system and I notice electrical issues where windows won't go up in the back until truck has been off for 10 minutes or dome light goes out in 4 seconds with doors open regardless of any button fiddling I do. Strange electrical things.

A new tranny just isn't doable now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
