Default Deeper sound from my exaust

When they installed my exhaust they put 1 40 series flowmaster single in single out a 90deg. turn so it could exit in front of the right rear tire with a dual tip from a single pipe. Well needless to say it sounded like crap I hated it, and to top it all off the chrome tip turned gold within a few months. So on Saturday I finally did what I been wanting to do for a while I took a saw saw to it and cut the tip off. To my surprise when I started it up I got the deep tone of my flowmaster. Its amazing how much that tip changed the sound of the exhaust it sounds way better now

here is a pic of the old tip

Did you cut the pipe right after the muffler?

Have you had any problems with the exhaust messing up your rt rear rim? I've heard that exhaust in front of the tire can mess up the rim and brake. I hope not. I just got a 50 series 1 in 2 out w/3 inch tips in front of the rt rear tire.

About a foot after the muffler right where the tip started so the 90deg. bend is still there cause of the hanger but this weekend I am going to move the hanger onto the muffler itself and cut that extra pipe and put a turn down tip on it

It sounds good. Not too loud just a good deep rumble. Real quiet at idle and highway speeds, but you can hear it if you get on the gas. With no mods, my tach was at 2k @ 70mph. With the K&N and flowmaster, I'm between 1800 and 1900 rpm's @ 70mph...maybe i'll save some gas.
