Default Debris in Cyl 8, LOOK at this. What could it be?

I was coming home and the truck started missing badly. I pulled into an auto store and the code was and it was missing on cyl 8. I did a search and figured I had a weak coil so I pulled the coil and plug and noticed some foil debris stuck in the cylinder. It has writing on it and looks like typical ford font on the writing so maybe someone can figure out what it is???? Why is loose debris in my cyl and judging by the fact it is a non magnetic foil, what can it be from?

After removing the foil the truck ran like it should. The foil was shorting the plug. It is a standard Motorcraft plug so it is not from it.

It could have only come thru the intake system, look at everything in the air filter housing and tubes to see whats coming apart, it would be very hard for it to get by the air filter. Has anybody worked on the truck lately?

It would be a heck of a thing if that was debris from the factory assembly that's been floating in there forever.

I looked in the intake for any possible source of the printed foil and saw nothing. IDK.... mystery.

Looks like one of the engine harness tags. Some had a small tag on the pig tail portion for the #8 injector.

I'd guess that it's been in there since the build or the last time someone changed the plugs. Either way, now that's everything is running good, I wouldn't be concerned about it. Yeah, it is weird, but thankfully it was pretty minor, eh?

A lot of times heat will make them fall off and they'll lay by the coils. Pretty likely if the plugs were changed prior it fell in and whom ever didn't notice and installed a plug.. very minor glad its running good for you

I'll take a real close look and see if it can be that. IDK. These are made of foil, not plastic or paper.
