If you had your DRL's correctly installed, the 'On' circut is tied to the emergency brake and a tap of the ER will ground the DRL circut and the lights will go off. If you want a more perfect solution, locate the wire going to the brake open it up and take a wire to ground. Open this circuit when you want the lights to work correctly.

Haven't tried on this truck, but a lot of cars if you put your parking break just one click in it'll turn off those lights. you'll have a light on your dash but the brake shoes aren't really doing anything.
