Default Dash Clock

I never liked that my Alpine system has a screen for the clock and a separate screen for the title and the two could not be viewed at the same time. Switching back and forth for the time is a pain in the butt...So I decided that the power port on the dash would be a good spot for a clock. I removed the port and installed an Auto Meter 2 1/16" clock. It fits just great with a little resizing of the hole. It also is a pretty good match to the rest of the FX dash! I still have to paint the ring that angles the clock to the drivers seat the silver color of the dash.

I really like the look of that! If I didnt have to use mine for charging stuff I would definitely do that just for the look. I have a double din JVC that always displays the clock!

Is that clock back-lit along with instruments? How much did it cost?

I really don't need another clock, but now I have a good idea about what to do with that useless coin holder in my 2wd truck that sits where your 4wd selector switch is on the left side of the radio. Thanks.

Thanks everyone!! Glad you like the my idea. The clock is made by Auto Meter and is back lit. The bulbs have colored covers so you can change the back lite color. I went with the green. By the way they have a white dial too. It comes from Summit Racing but depending on whose catalog or web site you look at the price can vary a couple of dollars . I paid $59.95 for the clock and the angle rings come in a package of 3 for $9.95. With $9.95 shipping it was $79.85.
Part # for the clock is ATM-2585 it's listed as a 2" clock. The angle rings part # is ATM-2234. They are listed as 2 1/16".

After I removed the Power Point I dremeled out the hole to fit the clock. I used the power for it to run the clock and tapped the wire that lights the console controls. It took me around an hour fat to do the job.
