Thumbs up Dark Stone Metallic's

I'm interest in seeing pics of dark stone metallic trucks.
Anyone running one with black wheels?

Added:

In the movie Killers, I could have sworn that modified F150 was dark stone. I saw the DVD with my son and it looked like a dark stone XL with black pocket-style fender flares (which I thought were too large for only about a 33 inch tire) and black steel wheels (which, I think would have looked better with a silver center cap and perimeter). However, I saw the truck described as dark shadow gray. I'll have to rent it again.

Anybody out there knows for sure?????

I have a dark stone metallic lariat with two tone. I've been wandering the exact same thing. (Leaning towards black over chrome) I've seen a couple pics of some of them, one with black didn't look so good and one with bronze rims looked pretty good. I think its more of a wheel/tire combo thats makes it look good or not. I'll try to find the pics and post them up.

Hey man, thanks for posting the pics. What?? Is that a bronze color? That looks pretty good. Did he have them painted? ...or did they come in that color?

My truck is all dark stone (monotone). I have a black "bar-style" grille and black running boards, which match the handles, mirrors and trim. Because of this, I could probably make a black (w silver/chrome accents) wheel work, especially if I black powder coat my chrome bumpers. I could maybe leave them chrome, and it may work.

But, since you have the beige trim, I don't know??? The bronze wheels look good on that guy's truck. I don't know if you'd want to go that route.
If you go with the black XD's, you may have to add more black accents, like black grille or grille guard, black running boards, etc. I don't know????

XD makes the bronze wheels but its only available on I think 3 styles of rims. I don't know though, Id have to see them in person to decide. Since mines the lariat, I have painted bumpers, the only chrome I have is the chrome nerf bars, which after lifted I might lose anyways, since I don't think black nerfs would look right. And the lariat grill has the beige honeychrome with chrome surround, and I'm thinking about buyin a painted bar style grill and painting the surround and bars the dark stone color and going with the billet inserts to kind of set it off. I've also seen a couple of rims in a black chrome, kind of a smoked chrome, but can't find too many choices for those either....

Sorry to hijack, but I have to say, the Dark Stone Metallic is my favorite color from Ford. My dad has a 2008 Expedition EL Limited in Dark Stone Metallic, and I fell in love with the color. It's too bad that Ford discontinued the color after the 2009 model year, I would have loved to have gotten my 2010 with that color.
