i switched to ceramic brake pads. yes they ere around $80 but well worth it. my ford rims used to black in a week or two but now every time i clean my truck i dont even have to realy scrub them. they definitely made the difference worth the money

I put Motocraft pads & rotors all around and it's been 1 week and I don't notice much brake dust on my rims. Did they change the materials in the pads in recent years? The motocraft pads I bought are semi-metallic and they are 100% better than my old ones which I think were NAPA junk. Even if they do start to dust gives me a reason to keep my truck clean!

Order it from Justin & you will get it almost the next day it seems. No worries with him!

Get Wagner Thermoquiet's. I just put a set on my front's, rear's will come when I have time, and they give very little brake dust and the stopping has been improved. They cost 75 bucks from rockauto.com

I've heard ceramic is the way to go. As for ford changing things, not sure. I had the same problem with my 98 ranger. This time, im going ceramic when these go.
